This is a really stupid question I know.
But.. What is the correct way to say Amon Amarth?
Is it 'AY-mon Amarth' Or 'AH-mon Amarth'?
Or something else.
I hope you understand what I mean.
Can anyone here tell me if this is the right way to say it or am I wrong?
Thanks in advance.

A-MON A-MARTH

haha another Victorian! where in melbs you from man?
I'm actually from Ballarat. I'm not sure if you would know where that is. It's about 1 hour from Melbourne.

included bij the three Lord of the rings books is a another book, in which tolkien explains the pronunciation of the languages in middle earth. Maybe you can find it there..

watch the movie Lord of the Ring and in there they say a few times "Amon Sul" and i remember very well how they say "amon"..
its the "AH-mon" way.
the "a" sound is not that of the letter "A". its like the sound of the "a" in the word "pass" for example.

Tolkien explains pronounciations of terms and names mentioned in the book at the end of "Return Of The King".
Therefore, "english" way of saying AY-mon would be wrong and AH-mon would be closest to exact way of pronouncing.

i really don't get the "ay-mon" pronounciation, there's nothing there to give it a hard A sound.

while we're at it, people who spell it "bohemoth" piss me off to no end. poser weaklings!
