Hey, all
Of course nothing tops Theocracy Christmas music, but do you know of any other Progressive Metal -OR- Power Metal Christmas tunes out there?

I don't mean the cheesey stuff like "Motorhead's Christmas" or any of that old school metal stuff (no offense to old school metal). I'm just looking for some good crunchy prog metal Christmas.

Know any? :headbang:

Good question. I know of some prog rock Christmas (such as The Prog World Orchestra's "A Proggy Christmas"), but not really prog metal. I enjoy Tarja's "Henkäys Ikuisuudesta," but this album is not in a rock/metal vein at all. Personally, I have Shadow Gallery's "Christmas Day" as a song in my Christmas playlist, but this again is a ballad. If you find anything, let us know!

^That was pretty good. Was expecting vocals to come in though; slightly disappointed.

You and me both.

Honestly, every Christmas is marked by just one song in particular for me, and that's Rudolph vs Frosty...If I get a bit tipsy I *may* switch it to
warning: NSFW and unruly

Have you guys ever heard these christmas songs by the band order of nine, I heard these a few years ago on a radio station, kind of progish I guess.

Those Order of Nine tunes are cool. I've never heard those before. HUGE fan of A Christmas Carol too, so that's sweet. Thanks for the link!

And thanks for mentioning The Prog World Orchestra - they have nice christmas album.

Sorry if it sounded rude or anything, I just don't like his smug attitude on his youtube videos. His bad enunciation doesn't help either.
A Hero for the World seems like loads of fun.

I know what you mean. Singers are faces of the bands so they always try to create something special so we remember them. I hate it as well but if you think of it he is trying to be cool which mostly goes wrong but from time to time he is funny. I think it is still better than trying to be super honest and true which is super trendy right now but mostly just fiction. Timo Tolkki's (I believe he is really sincere) way of talking on the other hand is kind of creepy anyway if you ask me. That's how I realize I can enjoy PelleK's music without thinking of his attitude. Anyway I will never know his real character.

PS: His bad enunciation is not such a big problem to me because I am not a native speaker.
