I myself prefer Psycroptic to Deranged.

I hate Psycroptic.

Allow me to venture a guess as to why you dislike them: masturbatory, self-indulgent technical wank with very little in the way of substantial ideas and/or songwriting prowess.

Psycroptic display impressive instrumental capabilities, that's for sure but they lack the ability to make a transcendant artistic statement. I dislike Psycroptic in very much the same way that I dislike Decapitated and Necrophagist.

1) Describe what a substantial idea is. Please include a few examples and explain WHY they are substantial.
2) Give an example of a 'transcendant artistic statement' from a band and WHY it is a transcendant artistic statement.

Have you actually studied musical composition or ever played an instrument? I only ask because you never seem to explain the harsh judgements you make, other than quoting other people or using vague subjective descriptions.

Yeh, pretty annoying if you ask me. We get fed all these elitist 'buzzwords' or 'buzz phrases' with little elaboration. In fact, I have never seen actual examples of the sort of things they (they being those that just regurgitate ANUSisms repeatedly without any personal input or thought) spout with the reasons WHY it makes it so; that looks pretty stupid and vague so an example would be what exactly makes Psycroptic's ideas 'unsubstantial'.

GoD plays the piano, and passed his grade 5 (!) theory exam. Practically a professor.
