Punk/Modern Rectifier LISTEN!

Hey there, this is the very first quick roughmix of one of the songs of a band I'm working on currently.
it's supposed to sound like a bastard between modern punk and hardcore...think Pennywise as a reference or so.

I know, this is probably still a bit too "metal" sounding for punk but I really didn't want to artificially create a shitty sound.

I used hardly any samples ( just a bit on the kick) and tried to achieve a compromise beween "natural" and "modern"


tell me what you think so I can improve it

sounds really good, that must be said!

have to agree that the bass could be dirtier and louder
the kick could have some more dynamics, especially in the low end, it sounds a bit too controlled if you ask me, also it sounds a bit too edited (muted guitars), toms can use some more reverb, especially the floor seems a bit dry, but hey, that's just ant f@#king, overall sound is really good!

The mix sounds very nice. At first I though that it might sound a bit too "modern", but actually the production fits the style very well. Oi Oi!
