first `real` post so i wanna start off by sayin hi & thanking you all for the wealth of information ive picked up in this forum whilst lurking about the last few weeks (and also for some of the humour!!)

im wanting a neck pup for my LP , i got a seymour duncan JB in the bridge and was maybe thinking the custom custom ??? i wanna take things up a notch!!

anyone care to rate or slate???

I've got a Duncan Screamin' Demon in the bridge of my Schecter, and it's pretty cool. Stands to reason that the neck version might be good too.

The '59 and the Jazz are both perfect compliments to the JB.

That said... are there enough pickup threads yet? Fuck.

Depends what kind of sound you want and what you're using the guitar for.

I can't stand the '59 or Jazz. They're sooooo smooth and bassy, not the sound I want at all in my neck pickup, personally.

Duncan Full Shred should be less smooth and bassy, at least. When I tried a JB the sound varied hugely from guitar to guitar; the Full Shred was similar-sounding but without the boominess that the JB got out of some guitars.

But, I ended up ditching both for an EMG81 so I guess this is a qualified endorsement!
