So i got a hold of the demo of Sonar X2 today and figured I would put the entire DAW and its built in effects to the test. I must say I am pretty impressed. I have been a Sonar user for the last 10 years, and X2 really ups the game in a HUGE way.

The new console emulation is pretty bad ass as is the new Amp Sim and BReverb.

Below is a short clip of Ola / Feared LRA using only the plugins in Sonar X2, no external plugins were used.

Overall I am pretty impressed with the bundled emulators and Software. Totally usable for the Pro or Pro-sumer. While they arent the best emulations out there, out of the box they are pretty damn impressive.

The TH2 Guitar Amp Sim allows you to adjust mic position or load IR's right into the system. Its VERY VERY impressive.
