I have heard it sugested that you can multiply the guitars maybe say 4x and achieve a heavier sound using less gain.

Now I hav a few questions to see if anyone has answers.

Does it work ok with IR's or does this need to be an amp thing. I ask due to phase issues etc.

Ive tried this before but find that using less gain still results in 4 less gainy sounding guitars am I being to optimistic and should I use more gain?

Do you shuffle to parts about to get them in time. My timing is good but not perfect.

Do you pan 2 left 2 right.

Do you EQ and compress differenltly? bus to the same bus.

Should you use 2 different IR's/ pre amps to obtain the sounds of 2 different amps. 1 for each pair.

Please enlighten me.

Have you searched at all? This has been covered a ton of times.

Yes, you can do it with impulses. Use more gain if it needs it. You can edit, but it is better to simply play better. Planning is normally 100L, 80L, 80R, 100R or something like that. Yes, you can EQ/compress differently (just like anything, it depends on the context). You can use different IRs as long as they are in phase with each other. Recabinet IRs are all in phase from what I have heard.
