Harro all, got bored on my day off and decided to work on this quake 2 soundtrack remix I've been fiddling with off and on forever. Scratched everything I had done previously and started fresh

Since my amp and cab are on loan to a mate at present, I figured I'd try and get a decent tone out of the PSA1 for once, pretty happy with it at this point, didn't use impulses on it either.

Sooooooo chain is my ESP custom shop reindeer with a bareknuckle nailbomb in the bridge straight into the PSA1 which goes into my onyx analog in.

Bass is also through the PSA1

Drums were done on my shitty legacy E-kit midi in to slate drums, then quantised to hell and back because I'm not the best drummer ever haha.

Excuse the sloppy playing, lemme know what you think :)

Oh the things I would do for a Japanese SV-NT. I don't think you could ask for a better sound out of that Sansamp. Sounds just about perfect for what you're trying to accomplish here.

Mix is punchy, drums on point. I see nothing wrong here. If anybody does a hi-res remake of Quake 2 I hope the soundtrack is quite like this.

I used to play Quake II all the time! Thanks for bringing back the old memories!
It's strange it never occurred to me to do this, but I guess I'd just totally forgotten about the Quake II soundtrack since it's been years since I've played it.
I remember being 10 years old, and the Quake II soundtrack was seriously some of the first metal that ever spoke to me, and I think you did it justice, it sounds good man!

i havnt listened to this yet, because i´m at work, but if i remember correctly then rob zombie did the soundtrack for quake II
