As to the 7th post, while he addresses the issue of my question he misquote the movie. It's Gettysburg where a member of the disbanded 2nd Maine was addressing Colonel Chamber regarding the leadership of General Meade.

I do indeed. The American Civil War is a pretty interesting chunk of history, but the historiography of it is much more appealing.
