I've decided to go to see Queensryche at Star Plaza in Merrillville on Friday 11/17. Anyone else going? Tickets are $33 (and parking is free at this venue). This is the Operation Mindcrime I/II show.

I am going to the box office next week to get my ticket and save the ticketbastard service fees. If one or two other people are wanting to go, I'm willing to get tickets for you at the same time so you can save those fees, too. Then you can pay me back via Paypal or at the show. (As long as you promise to go to the show and not leave me with your ticket! :-) )

There are several great restaurants nearby for a pre-show dinner, too.

Go see Queensryche, or front some poor soul a ticket?

If you think seeing QR is questionable, I'm also still thinking about seeing Toto at the House of Blues on the 14th!

Ken

go see QR, of course! haha JK

hmm...i didn't know Toto was playing HoB...they killed when I saw
them a few years ago....Nick Van D and I were drooling over their
dvd when I was out in CA a few weeks ago....that is a MUST HAVE!
Maybe I'll join you at the show.....

Historical research. I've never seen them before and probably will never want to see them again :)

I love their new CD, and I've heard that they are indeed excellent live. They're only playing 4 shows in the US before they head to Europe, so who knows if I'll ever get the chance to see them again. The show is at 9pm on Tuesday the 14th, and it's 21-and-over so there's no 10pm curfew nonsense.

You should bring your long hair and scare everyone in the audience! :)

right....good place to see them but too bad you didn't get to see them
when they really meant it! :-)

yes, killer indeed....watching Lukather make guitar playing so trivial is
borderline sickening! :Puke:

i just may have to do that! :heh:

Ken - I saw QR a couple years back, primarily because Symphony X were opening. I was like, "Well, it will get me out to finally see QR live". It was decent, but not mind blowing. Only reason I am remotely interested in seeing them on this tour is to see Mindcrime I in it's entirety.

The new album is one of this year's biggest dissapointments.

Yeah, me too. And I wouldn't even be going if the venue wasn't half an hour from my front door. I sort of want to support Star Plaza whenever they bring in acts that aren't oldies or R&B, so that maybe there will be more of them.

I haven't even heard it yet.
