Question about a Dream Theater album...

On Monday I was in Perth at this music store, and I saw this Dream Theater album that seemed to have cover songs on it.......I was running late to pick my missus up from uni, so I didn't have time to suss it out properly, but I remember it had 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'Love lies bleeding in the wind' on it.......

I forgot the name of the bloody thing!!

Can anyone tell me what it's called, and more importantly, is it any good, and worth having? They had it for $15........

Called 'A Change of Seasons'

Is it good? Fuck yes. The title track is an epic 25 minutes of sheer bloody brilliance. Not only is this song my fave Dream Theater song, but it is damn near my favorite song ever. Just a huge, emotional, technically brilliant song.

The covers are all good as well. My faves are the Elton John covers and the big medly at the end.

In Summary... You must buy this album. ACOS is one fuck off song

Tis brilliant. Because of this album I decided to finally check out Journey, who are now one of my favourite bands. And because of this album I discovered that Elton John is a frickin' good artiste.

Was my first DT purchase, way back in 1996. Top stuff.

It's pretty good. Don't go paying too much for it, 'cos it should only retail for about $15.

Hey guys, while we're wanking on about Dream Theater, I have 'Images and Words', 'Awake' and 'Falling into Infinity'.........how do some of the albums I don't have, and the ones you're talking about, compare with these?
Appreciate your thoughts........

Images & Words and Awake are great. Metropolis is great too. Falling Into Infinity isn't as good as the others. 6 Degrees is a pretty bloody good album, for mine.

They are all great albums. Even their first, which gets bagged something shocking...When Dream and Day Unite. Some awesome stuff on that album

Yeah I don't like FII as much as the other two, for sure......IaW is my favourite out of the three I have.

WDADU rules. FII was great at first but gets boring after a while. It was my favourite for a short time there though - Trial of Tears rules.
