question about keyboard tone!

howdy! one of my favorite bands mercenary has a song that I love called lost reality, does anyone know what they are using to get that keyboard sound in the intro? or at least know something that will produce a sound similar to it?

Sounds like some kind of monophonic synth horn or square wave with portamento/legato.

cheesy lead sound, "01 voice" and a good amount of "glide"

a native instruments pro-53 should work

Its a sinewave-based sound with legato.
Basicly any anolog, or digital-modeling of an analog keyboard, have a flute sound, i used to take those sound and put legato on them when i played keyboard.
If you dont puke by the music, check out HIM's - When Love And Death Embrace, the leadsynth in that song is what you are looking for, but its easier to hear what it really sounds like.
