ive never had a guitar with a locking nut before... should i do them up as tight as i can with my fingers or should i whip out the allen key that came with the guitar?

Gotta agree with the guy above me, locking turners are the way to go, the other guitarist in my band has a sick ass jackson, it has a locking nut on it (naturally because it has a floyd rose and the tuners keep it in tune well but aren't locking) but he took the screws right out of it because he hates having to undo it all whenever he wants to switch bewteen one major tuning to another, so I guess it depends on how often you're messing with what tuning it's in, but I perfer the locking tuners for convinence

I find it annoying that I have to set my floyd rose up every time I want to tune it around to another tuning. I dislike a sinking bridge.

Fortunately, my band plays in D standard and most of the songs I want to learn off other bands are in the same tuning. Also I've got 4 guitars that I can play around with :D

I'm not gonna lie, I love my Schecter but if I could get rid of the floyd I would do it in an instant, not worth the trouble at all.

What is with you guys owning guitars with locking nuts and loathing them? If you hate them so much, why not trade them in for other guitars? I swear, you all are like little girls staying with their abusive boyfriends. :p

Oh waaaaaaaaaaah. Either deal with the black eyes or get the fuck out of that relationship. Don't stay just because the sex is great. :D

I was under the impression that Floyds were supposed to be great. Then again whineing is supposed to be great to! ;)

I got really sick of retuning my guitar and it didnt even have a locking nut. That why I got an eight string :D
