Question About Plugins with "Quality" Settings

Hey Guys,

I have a general question about some of the VST plugins that have a "Quality" setting. (Some of LePou's amp sims with "Low" or "High" quality settings for example, or any others with adjustable oversampling (2X, 4X, 8X, etc.))

Clearly, those settings affect the real-time playback, but it's unclear to me whether those are the settings used when a track is rendered. When you render your mix to a wav file, does it automatically render in the highest quality mode, or only the mode you have set?

Thanks!

afaik, they normally render in the setting you have used, so if you recorded and monitored
for example with lecto on the low quality setting and you want to render it with a better
quality, you have to set it to the high quality before rendering.
