Question about the Cosmic Genesis cover

What is that thing on the front? I know I've seen it before, but I can't remember what it's called. I think I may have seen a picture of Vintersorg wearing a necklace of it, but I could be mistaken. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it is an "Ægíshjálmur," that is a helm of awe/terror. It's an old heathen symbol of protection. I have a tattoo that is a variation of it. The traditional form is better explained (as well as the variations of the symbol) on this site http://www.sunnyway.com/runes/tattoos.html

I'ts a symbol that I've invented myself, and it's just simply a symbol of Vintersorg, and as it stand for the band and the development of the band, its meaning changes from day to day, as the band evolve.
