Alright, so if I were to get an Mbox 2 is there any way to expand on it to get more pre-amps? I'd like to get at least another 8 XLR mic inputs. Any ideas?

in my experience, most modern DAWs have 99% of the same features as PT, they just have a different name/location/button
if you know PT very well, it wouldn't be that much harder to learn another DAW
that being said, if you look around you can probably find a used 002 for not much more than an m-box...i saw one posted yesterday on the sweetwater classifieds for like $625, and it gives a lot more i/o possibilities than the m-box.

Gonna go with colonel kurtz on this one you want more inputs sell the mbox and fork for an 002R. It gives you so many more options than the mbox.
