I've heard that the storyline in 'V-The New Mythology Suite' was actually based on some crackpot seer's 'visions' of the rise and fall of Atlantis. Is there any truth to this rumor, and if yes, what's the name of the guy, and where can I find out more about this?

Which 'Crackpot' are you refering to? Nostradamus? Plato? Dante? Just curious..there's a post somewhere down by Jax explaining where V is actually about. Search and thou shalt find....
Nope, something a little more contemporary, and not a 'big name', either. Lots of people have speculated about Atlantis, but from what I've heard this specific version of the story was based on the work of some self-proclaimed seer.

Edgar Cayce. I actually bought the book his son wrote about his visions of atlantis, and its interesting to see how many of the concepts SyX lifted from that (Sons of the Law of One, the power of the crystals, etc).
