Hey Chris,
When ever I try to multi finger tap all the strings that my right hand would normally be covering are un-muted. How do you mute the strings when using multiple fingers in a situation like this:

---578---10-12-14 (Frets 10 12 and 14 tapped with right hand)
Thanks,
Nick G

Hey Nick. I'm not Chris, but I hope I can help.
Basically you should look out to lift your right hand relaxed from the string, so they don't sound just by that. The strings that should be muted while Tapping are the 2 adjecant strings of the string on which your playing (e.g. the high e- and the g-string, when you're tapping on the b-string); and these are pretty easy to mute by placing your lefthand-indexfinger in a way that both strings are touched, but not fretted. Sounds complicated, bur is really easy actually.
Hope that helped.
