Question for Komplete Users

When is the best time of year to buy it?

I've been pretty interested in it for awhile. I've always wanted Kontakt and Battery to sample drums, ect. for EDM stuff.
The synths look sick as well, but is Massive the best one? I like it but it's a little too easy to sound like every other massive user haha
And I wanted know if the EQ's/Comps were worth it, too.

Or, did you buy a super old version for cheap and then take advantage of the upgrade?

They have summer and winter sales, where it's 50% off. Some sales seasons are for upgrades only, and others are for full product.

I think they've become a bit more unpredictable since the last Komplete release came behind schedule...

Definitely buy when it is on sale if you can manage. Lots of good stuff in there without a doubt. I bought in at like Komplete 5 and have been buying upgrades since.

The eq's and comps are cool, still learning them a bit. The character seems a bit exaggerated to me which can be good or bad.

The synths, strings, giant piano, guitar rig, kontakt full, action strings, and even session drummer gets use from me.
