Question for the Re-Amping Pros

How do you charge? (by the song? bulk rate?)
How much do you charge?
Where would you say most of your business comes from?

My studio has acquired a lot of equipment lately, so we're considering doing some ReAmping. Obviously we'll have to get our re-amp chops up, which we're working on starting tomorrow.

We have a big open recording room, an isolation room that's very dead sounding (only fits a cab in it), a very large crawl space that is bright and dead, and a concrete room that sounds bright. We also have 2 tubescreamers, a metal zone and a bunch of rack equipment along with miscellaneous pedals.

Here's the equipment we have:

Mesa Boogie DC5
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier

Marshall Mosfet (total crap but someone might want it..)

Do people pay to reamp bass very often? We don't have very much, but it does sound good.

What I charge for reamping is totally dependent on the project. I do often do reamping for both guitars and bass. That way they work together better.

I don't do a ton of work for other people because I don't have time to with everything else I do related to music. I tend to work mainly for my own projects and colleagues.

If you post some amazing tones here, you will find clients. News travels fast.

I agree it depends a lot on the project. I always ask for a mix with whatever guitar tone they have first and ask what they ultimately want it to sound like. Sometimes its easy to get what you're looking for. Other times, it can kill you!

Thanks for the responses, definitely picking up some cool ideas. I kinda wanted to get a cross section of what people charge as well (I have a degree in Marketing, I like sample statistics). Anyone?
