I've been listening to COB for like 2 weeks, my friend keeps bugging me because he says they are antichrist and worship the devil because they always have the Grim Reaper on their CD and stuff is it true? Can someone with knowledge answer this. Hope this isn't a bad thread or anything like that.

Hhhmmm, controversial topic....I'll talk a little about it myself soon enough...just a little dissertation or theory on it. But to put it simply now, I am convinced that they are not Antichrist, and I'm a very dedicated Christian. We'll need to get into what really is "antichrist" and things like that. Don't always just go to wikipedia for your answers, people, they may have good general info, but for specific bands they very likely are incorrect or tainted....

I would say that yeah, COB are just a "we don't really give a fuck about religion" type of band. Being associated with Death is not exactly being associated with Satan, it's just the most common metal theme, that's all.
As for Antichrist, there is ONLY ONE Antichrist, but there are many antichrists, you'd know that if you know the Bible. So yeah, stop calling them THE Antichrist: he's not Finnish. :S

Well I think they do cause they use 666 a lot on the vid Sixpounder and on their Merch too, I don't know if they were like that back then because I heard they were black metal and now turning to Power Metal something like that.

Hell no, they are not antichrist! They are not religious at all so i guess that makes them atheists. Alexi said it himself in an interview that they don't believe in the devil or try to press religious issues on other people. The grimreaper associates with death, not the devil. The lyrics have absoultely nothing to do with it and on stage, they don't wear corpse paint. And they have never been black metal...more like melodic death or power metal with deadly vocals or whatever you want to calll it. The music SOUNDS evil but it reallly isn't.
