LT is definetely a huge part of the Chargers offensive attack but to say we are nothing without him is just absurd. Ever heard of probowl fullback LORENZO NEAL? Only the best fullback in the NFL. LT was out injured against the raidas for most of the game, we have an excellent back up to him named Michael Turner, who scored a rushing TD against the raida's. Lorenzo Neal has never blocked for a runner that didn't get over 1000 yards in a season!

Have you heard of a guy named ANTONIO GATES? Only the best Tight End in the NFL, what about Drew Brees? He is one of the top 5 QB's in the nfl. What about pro bowler Keenan McCardell? He isn't half bad now is he? Eric Parker? Yeah thats what I thought. We have the second highest scoring offense in the entire NFL. You don't get that buy just relying on ONE player.

Want to move to the defensive side of the football?

Ever heard of Shawne Merriman, he is the rookie of the year, has 7 sacks already, if you haven't taken notice you will soon as he will be in the pro bowl many many times before his carear is over. Heard of Jamal Williams? Donnie Edwards? We only have the best run defense in the entire NFL. I don't think LT can really help out much with that do you?

You can sit LT on the sidelines and we will still beat the majority of teams we face in the NFL. You can't rely on one single player to win you games. We are very well balanced and have good depth and most positions. Our secondary is pretty average, we will need help there in the off season, but that's really our only weakness

Not that it matters that much but we also have the best punter in the NFL in Mike Scifers, see his 71 yard punt against the Raidas?? Really helps with field position
 
LT is the Jamal Anderson that the falcons had a few years ago.
He carried 25 times against oakland. thats pretty standard.

Brees was nothing until they lit a fire under his ass by drafting Rivers.
He also benifited from the emegence of LT. And what about his 3 TD passes?

Antonio Gates best TE?, ever hear of Tony Gonzalez or Alge Crumpler?
Tight Ends have to block too.

Keenan McCardell is decent but hes getting old.

Without LT the SANDI-AGO SUPERCHAGERS! could possibly limp into the playoffs.

Brees was a Rookie basically, It takes time to develop. I always had confidence in his ability. It was amazing how much better he got when he got a decent O-line to give him time to throw and giving him some legit receivers.


As for Antonio Gates, yes he is the BEST Tight End in the leaugue right now. He leads the leauge in almost every category for tight ends. Tony G is excellent as well but towards the end of his carear. Gates has taken over as best in the leauge. Just look at the probowl voting. Antonio Gates is far in the lead for best Tight End in the league

you are right because they will probably lose before they play the bears in the playoffs....... Da Bears are gonna go to the superbowl this year......if they decide to put in Rex Grossman ever.....
