Tenth Sublevel is a great album. Even I will admit that. But the excellence of Diadem is showing.
Also, I feel Diadem is starting to become one of those "Everybody loves because of the hype, but not because they actually enjoy it" albums...

Oh, its very orgasmic, hell it was my #2/3 album for 2006 (Blood in our wells being #1 and Myrkgrav's Debut being #2/3, I can't pick still), but I feel hype is starting to have a huge factor into its "popularity".

I'm not a big fan of most of Leviathans material outside of the split with Crebain, the split with xasthur, and Tenth Sublevel.
Tenth Sublevel was an extremely atmospheric and dark journey. How can one ignore the evil genius in tracks such as Sardoniscorn and The Idiot Sun? Edit: And the title track... 15 minutes of pure fucking EVIL.
Xasthur, I really don't get into all that much, outside the split with leviathan. I try, but it just doesn't work for me.

BATTLE OF THE HYPE BLACK METAL!!!! (actually a better hype pair right now would be a WiTTR vs. Drudkh round, two or three years ago, Leviathan vs. Xasthur)
Man, it was hilarious when I was recommending Leviathan to people back in late 2003, early 2004... and people were like "feh!" and then a short 6 or 7 months later the hype machine kicked in and it was like from every trend-hopping BM listener it was like
"HAY EVERYBODY U SHUD LISTEN 2 LEVIATHAN THEY R AWESUM!!1!11!11111"
and then the rest... is history.
