rare prog from early 70s

I got a cd the other day called Fishermans Women by Emiliana Torrini. The press release ( i review cd's) likens it to nick drake. Although it is kinda meloncholic I wouldnt agree 100% with that statement (the guitar work on 1 song, at least it was kinda reminds me of something of morningrise). However it is a really nice album. Her guitar playing is really beautiful and the other instruments are never over bearing. Check it out if ya like this kind of music.

would you send me a track or 2? id like to hear it for sure.

also, if you like female folk stuff, defiintely try emma nordenstam...melancholic, melodic and rather dark...but very pretty.

Could url me to her discography or just paste it here? Her website is in swedish and thus, impossible for me to navigate. Thanks.

hey, nfu are you familiar with lisa germano's stuff? Highly recommended. The song 'Puppet' by her could be made into a killer black metal song.

yes, im familiar with some of her work. an aquaintence of mine loves her. i dont know if ive heard "puppet" though. in fact, im not sure which track titles ive heard, and which i havent.

i figure due to the leak of the new opeth song, this post would be more relevant. i hear some Museo Rosenbach, Landberk and Celeste influence in the new song. Anyone who likes the dark and offbeat vibe of the grand conjuration, should definitely check out those bands.

if anyone's interested in this band Wobbler mentioned earlier in the thread-
I just got their debut album "Hinterland" in the mail today and after two listens it's pretty damn good, although somewhat different than what I expected from their demos. there are some very anglagard-ish moments on it but other times they go off in their own style. the album will be available on lasercd.com for another ~2 weeks, but after that it won't be sold again until its official release date in September.

yeah I could tell it will probably grow on me.. the second listen was much more enjoyable than the first. however the vocal style used is a little disappointing to me compared to the way they did it on the demos, I really liked those.

I didn't particularly care for the demos posted by Wobbler on their website and so I never explored further.
