Hey LordHypnos - a while back you mentioned a label called mellotronen outta Sweden. I visited it and it looks like they have some really interesting stuff on there - too bad they don't have sound bites. Which of their releases would you recommend?

btw, i'm new - i've been reading this thread for the past 2 days and as a big prog/psych/hard rock fan, it's really refreshing to see such an active thread on the genres.

just bought nursery cryme the other day, amazing album, i love the tounge-in-cheek way of some of the songs, yet they still come across as seriously good music, i definately want to get Foxtrot next, so far i have Nursery Cryme and Selling England by the pound, both of which i love other than foxtrot what are the worthwhile genesis records?

the first few osanna albums i love...and im not even usually big into that fusion style of progressive rock most of the time. they were very good at what they did, and managed to swing from style to style flawlessly. if you like them, check out Trettioariga Kriget from sweden. also a fantastic, interesting and challenging band of about the same caliber.

hehe i couldnt be such with the intelligence level of some of the folk on this forum, was listening to caravan last night myself, in the land of grey and pink = most badass album to trip out and listen to just before sleeping

Here's a question for anyone familiar with Gentle Giant. I have the albums Gentle Giant through Free Hand. Dare I venture further into the "pop" years? (I heard In'terview was OK).

and I want that Comus compilation album. But $40? I guess that's not for the casual prog fan.
