rate my mix - metalcore

Yeah, definitely tighten up the playing. That and the bass guitar sounds kinda farty. The guitars could also come up just a hair. The seem kinda distant compared to the drums.

yea
well i am the drummer and the technichal guy of the band and i recorded the drums along to a click of 200bpm
the other guys seemed to have a bit of a problem with the click as it was their first time recording along to one
also were only 16/17 and have only been playing together for a couple months

Sounds alright. The timing is probably your biggest problem, if u can id go back and re-record the bass and guitars just to your drum tracks. but yea the way the song is structured with the small breaks in the drums with the cymbal grabs really should be tight it would sound tons better. also as far as drums go the kick is way to clicky it doesnt sound natural at all. for teh snare id say compress a tad more and maybe try having a slower attack and faster release it can sometimes clear up the clangy sound of the snare, but set your thresh rediculously low then bring it up til u feel it sounds good. on your blast barts u may want to automate the voluem or somthing so it doesnt like dissapear. Bring the guitars up in the mix. also tell about how u reecorded everything the guitars are decent but the lack any sorty of thump/power, idk try to at least double track or even quad. anyway not too bad but there is room for improvement

hmmm
i thought the snare sounds ideal haha thats just my opinion
theres not really anything i can do with the kick i dont think, its a sneap gog from drumagog.com
im definately going to bring up the snare during the blasting and try and create some more attack in it
there were 4 tracks of guitars (it was clayman style so actually 8)

Well, if it's a gog file, couldn't you just find another sample if that doesn't suit your fancy? That, or at the very least, re-process it.

Cool song but redo the guitars! The guitarists should practice the songs very slow (with metronome) and slowly raise the speed! Or something like this!
