ok, so now that I need to take a sabbatical, Derron decided to make me a surprise RC moderator (had no idea about it until Jerry PM'd me ... I in turn emailed Ali thinking it was him but he said it wasn't) ...

so anyway .... I can't undertake that heavy burden of zero moderation this forum needs and Ali suggested it should be someone from the original zine days ... anyone up for it?

Ken, Teacher, Erik ... etc.???

Heh, when you returning? I petitioned for your appointment due to our little reco cycle we're about to embark on. All you have to do is sticky a few threads a week lol. The whole reco shitz can be postponed until you return if need be. :dopey:

hahha ... wtf. why would I want to be mod for the reco threads? I even mentioned in them that I have nothing to reco.

anyway, pm'd Derron and told him that Ali and Heather will be the only mods still (why I am not sure but that's what Ali desires for now) and to remove my mod rights.

unless any of you still want to jump at this once in a lifetime opportunity.
 
Aurel, I just don't understand how hard is it to sticky 1 thread a week. Considering you live on this forum. Oh NOES, the responsibility!

I'd ask Deron to do it my own self, but considering I've been banned for homophobic and racial slurs about half a dozen times, dude would prob chuck an e-book at me. Heh, I lost interest, my reco is Slayer, the one due out in 2015.
 
i think it makes sense to add another mod because Ali is simply not around anymore to do the occasional sticky or whatever on the rare occasion they come up. remember he actually shut down 'Royal Carnage' and Deron was sporting enough to keep it around, what with all the entertainment we provide to the nightly hundreds of guests to UM. that was the reason for the new name and new logo, its just so similar to the old name/logo because that's what was easy and we're lazy bastards.

buut i bet none of the old zine-ers want 'all that responsibility' of making sticky reco threads so yeh probably just ask Deron or we'll have to look extra hard for the Reco threads as the sink below the latest whiskey purchases and hifi non-purchases.
 
These recos need to be stickied though, if not, it's just another recommendation nobody will notice. If Deron can award the power of The Stick, I'll do it. No modding, just stick. happybutterflies fuck
 
This whole reco cycle needs to be applied to this whole Mod fiasco. Every week someone stickies the current weeks reco thread. Together RC can band together to do the work of one.
