RC Sweet 16 - Problem

In counting up the votes, I have a tie between Maiden and Ulver, at 21 each. Since others have counted this match up, and come up with a different score, I'm concerned that perhaps I've made an error, but can't find it. Before I declare this a tie, I was hoping maybe someone else can see if they come up with the same score.

For the record, I've discounted votes by Grumpy Dwarf, Albert Fish and Id of NAD, as they all seem to be bogus.

I need a second pair of eyes on this.

We suggested that a draw would then lead to an album match up based on their latest releases. Therefore, it looks like:

"Dance of Death" vs. "Svid Neger".

I'm assuming that people voting would need to have listened to at least one of these albums. In other words, this is not "yeah but Maiden are better because of Powerslave" or "Ulver is much coolness because of Bergtatt" lolz.

It's a match up of those two albums only.

I'm pretty sure Zod is right when he counted 21/21. I counted twice to be sure but i did so both times in my head so there could still be an error but i don't think so.

That would still be an easy choice for me. Ulver just doesn't agree with me. Not any of their incarnations tickles my fancy. I know Maiden inside an out though.

Ulver should win simply because they are the better band, it's that easy

I disagree with the whole "Base your vote on the band's most recent offering"-thing. It'd be similar to voting for Finntroll instead of Emperor because "Nattfödd" is better than "Prometheus"

IRON MAIDEN WINS anyway. Dance of Death wins over Svidd Neger by default since this is a poll about heavy metal bands and it's been a while since Ulver played heavy metal

Yes, I concur. The count for Maiden is 21. Since it's 42 votes total, Ulver also have 21 votes.

Well, why didn't you say something when it was suggested? I even highlighted an example if Primordial had tied with Burzum. Nobody disagreed -- in fact, Zod said he liked the idea.

You mean, just re-run Ulver vs Maiden? Well, Ayeka, PJ, and Evil C didn't get their votes in, so that's 3 more for Maiden.

Otherwise, if we get another stalemate, we've just wasted time. At least by voting against a particular album, the parameters are different enough to potentially change the results.

I'll be perfectly honest, if "Dance of Death" was going up against "Bergtatt", I would EASILY vote for Bergtatt no question, but we're ONLY dealing with "Svidd Neger" now, so cast your vote accordingly.

I guess honesty is the key.
