Went to katatonia show (which i dont understand why they werent headliner) and moonspell was headliner.
Didnt even stay for 1 song...they blow
As far as opeth i've seen em 10x
Nothing will top the 3hour set for hob chicago(no openers & the BEST show ive ever seen...just amazing hands down)
they started w/ forest of october and worked their way up
think they ended w/ baying of the hounds and the encore was demon of the fall(of course)

Children of Bodom was HORRIBLE when I saw them live with Amon Amarth. Amon Amarth slaughtered them.

I'm going to see Dark Tranquility, Into Eternity and SCAR SYMMETRY. The headliners are The Haunted = BLAH!!!! They suck but at least I get to see three insane bands. So this time it's the headliner that blows. Dark Tranquility should be headlining without a doubt.

Dark tranquillity is getting same time slot as haunted.Probably hour each.Yes DT should be headliner.Fiction might just be better than character which is hard comparison.Psycho DOLVING and his blabbermouth rants are enough.Wouldnt say Haunted sucks...just shouldnt be the main headliner.Fucking dolving dude,

The most amusing instance of this involved the band Single Bullet Theory about five years ago. I dunno if they're still doing much, but for a while they were hopping on a number of bigger metal tours with King Diamond, Amorphis, Hypocrisy, etc. This particular show was them, Arch Enemy, Nile, Origin and Hate Eternal. Of course it's not exactly unheard of for hardcore-ish bands to play more straight metal shows, but this time the audience seemed particuarly peeved at this odd-man-out band on an otherwise straigh death metal gig. They were booed and heckled non-stop for the duration of their set. Then at one point, the singer said something to the effect of "let me see your hands!" during a song, at which point what must have been fifty people proceeded to turn with their backs to the stage and raise their middle fingers. Kids can be so cruel.

As for me I haven't really seen an atrocious opener.
