Thanks for posting these comparisons, mickrich.

IN this case, the Palmer seems a bit thicker in the lower mids and mids. Is this more accurate to the guitar than the other two or is that transformer saturation the Palmer is adding?

Palmer is slightly darker. I compared it to my modded RMP with the same result. Not crippling but noticeable. I think I even prefer it in your example cause it makes the tone a bit warmer/less sharp. Apogee and Redeye seem somewhat similar.

Thanks for listening.
I prefer the Redeye but the Palmer has a nice bite.
The Palmer and the Apogee both add a bit of distortion at around 4k but the redeye is 100% clear

Interesting.
My studio is torn apart ATM (subfloor issues) so I was listening on headphones through the laptop DAC, but I didn't notice the distortion on the Apogee or the Palmer. I'll have to listen to the wavs once I'm back up and running again.

You would have to listen to the clean DI signal to hear that.

No, it's in the reamped tracks. If I quickly A/B between them, I can hear the 4k peak jumping in and out.
This is collapsing the stereo image a bit compared to the redeye. Pretty subtle but still there =]
I'm listening on Klein and Hummel 110s which are super accurate in the mids.

Oh ok, didn't notice it.
It's not a massive difference but I can notice it cutting between them while playing . Playing one then the other, it's hard to hear. Just proves that the palmer is a real bargain really. Tiny difference compared to the red eye and much better than the radial reampers, although I haven't used the radial cuniberti jcr which is supposedly excellent.
