Reaper 4 dudes..

Colors aren't default, that's just how NSGUITAR has his setup, default is more like this:

Anyways, it's alpha 2. Long haul left before this bad boy is anywhere near "ready", I'm sure it's going to change a lot...

Man I hope they change the GUI a lot, I think it's ugly as hell, honestly. :waah:

How do you put that colors?? If I change the track color it just changes the waveform but not the region color...
Discovered it a few days ago. It's simply in the options of reaper, where you have 2 lines of squares to tick, choosing if color applies to waveform or background.

I've been using it all day yesterday and today, and I'm actually taking a liking to the new GUI. Seems to just flow better I guess.

BTW I run the 64bit version, and so far this version 4 has a noticeable processor/ram resource improvement compared to v3. And some of my x86 plugs that were temperamental with the 64 bit wrapper seem to like this version better.

Other than that though, it's still the same good old Reaper.

I personally prefer the new GUI, it feels more "pro" and doesn't stink of a cheap "made in Taiwan" toy. In saying that, the first thing I did was merge some of my small visual customisations with the default theme.
I just wish Reaper got more stuff right out of the box instead of having to customise the crap outta it!
I wouldn't know Pro-Tools as well as most here, but Adam's PT customisations make Reaper far more enjoyable (for me).
I must check out the new comping features...

Guess what? This thing can look good after all. I'm trying to remove all the ugly green. :Puke:

Awesome, but for some reason the new fader design goes away when I set it to Pro Tools mode.
