Installed 4 two days ago. In about 16 hours of editing I Had a bunch of actions stop working, crashes and BSODs. (64bit version on 64 bit Win 7 with 64 bit version of SWS)

I really dislike what they've done with the floating toolbars. Also when I've got my slice tool armed sometimes clicking on the ruler to move the cursor will cut across all tracks (worst case), or the playhead will not visually move (bug?) not how it used to work.

I guess I'll go back to V3 32bit for a while.

Jon - 32 bit DAW in 64bit OS seems to be the way to go for Reaper, I went from 3.76 to 4.01 amidst some huge sessions, without a hitch. smooth as buttah. 64-bit DAW has never been trustworthy, IME. the performance gain by using the native 64-bit DAW seems negligible to me anyway.

but your workaround you posted some time ago (your reaper-protools videos)
works just fine. if I knew where the thread was I'd point to it.

I wish Cocko´s could let go all the stuff that no one use, like track icons, winamp visualization, ReaNinjam, etc.
Not that they bother me, but they could spend the time to do stuff that people need.

I finally moved to Reaper 4. I'm finding the new gui kinda shitty, specially the meters. Have anyone customized the theme or downloaded any additional themes? I know I can use v3 theme but there are some stuff that actually looks better. I still don't get why they can't create good themes

They realized that it is impossible to satisfy all customers with one uber theme, so they concentrated on creating an excellent theme making environment for users to make their own perfect themes.
