Reaper, Master input??

Sure dude, I'll do my best (though honestly, the reason I bought my laptop from them is so I wouldn't have to know about that crap :D But I guess I'll just do a Ctrl + Alt + Delete and make a screenshot of processes running or something)

Thanks for the help dude, the processes part I have controll over, but rather take a screenshort of Controlpanel > Administrative Tools > Services, There I can see all the background stuff you are running and not running, things that the processes list won't show. This may be the critical place for me to look at :)

However before I make a reinstall I've done alot of tinkering with the settings to gain as much performance as possible. Currently running a final defragmentation of my drives, then I'll test it :)
I'll post my results soon.

Ooh wow, yeah, I've never even looked in here before, and this stuff is all a little over my head :D There's no security risk to me by posting screens of all this, is there? If so, then I'll still PM you them, I just wanted to know before linking them publicly

It can be related to your audio interface drivers. I experienced a big performance drop when i changed sound card to an EMU card, which has pretty bad drivers. Before that, I had a Line 6 card which have a lot more stable drivers. With Line 6 drivers I could run many more instances of ampsims/whatever without getting audio artifacts(using the same buffer size). However this has no obvious solution, unless getting another interface(or whining at the company to write drivers with higher perfomance).

Nah Marcus that's just what services you are using, same thing as processes almost, but these run in the background :)
But If you're still unsure just PM me 'em.

I use a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 Interface, latest drivers and so on. Should not be the case here, I HOPE.

Ok dude, PM sent, and also, you'll notice I sorted them by startup (automatic, disabled, manual), which I figured would be most useful :)
