Recabinet Cyber Monday Sale $19.99

Alright, got it sorted out. The way the settings were configured by default, about 99% of customers outside the USA couldn't have successfully checked out. Very sorry about that, should work now!

Yep, the transaction went ok now! Though the download button that popped up right away led to another error:

Check your email you provided during purchase for your download link.
If you cannot find your link, please contact the website you purchased from: http://kazrogplugins.com

Got the confirmation email, now waiting for "an email from support@recabi.net with download and authorization instructions".

You should have the email from us now, still working out a few kinks with our new payment processor. Thanks for your order, and for being patient with the process!

For anyone on the fence about Recabinet, I can honestly say this is the best cab sim you can have. There are some good impulses out there, but none of them are found in such an easy-to-use and rich compendium, such as Recabinet. Not only that, but having the ability to easily manipulate mic placement, angle, dynamics, and EQ all within the same interface is vital and priceless. $20 is a STEAL!

And by actually buying it, you're not just feeding some money hungry corporate greed machine, but you're actually helping out a small software company dedicated to creating and providing quality plugins for the working musician and engineer. Shane know's his shit, and I highly recommend you invest to help the advancement of future plugin updates from Kazrog.

I'm not fantastic at getting the best VST tones, but I think I did pretty good... here are some sample clips of some tones I've been able to get out of Recabinet:

Virgil, first of those 4 songs you posted is pretty good!

What amp sims are you using?

anyone want to post their recabinet presets? I've been messing with it finally but I am struggling a little bit to get a sound I'm happy with. I've been so used to the impulses I already had.

For guitars, I think for that one I used a combination of LePou's Le456 and LeCto amp sims. (Or it might have been LeGion instead of LeCto... I can't remember, it's been months!)

For the bass I actually used LePou's LeXTAC for grit and Recabinet's bass cab sims and then blended it with the raw bass track for depth and punchiness.

Virgil, could you share your presets for recabinet?

For which song? Also, remember, my presets were tweaked to work with the guitar tone and amp sim and overall mix in general, so my preset may not work exactly for you in context of your mix. Just fyi. PM me and let me know which song and I'll PM it to you.

I'm done doing guitar presets, now I'm doing bass presets.

In this track bass and clean guitars have been processed with free ampsims and Recabinet 3.1.1
Every other guitar sound is Axe-FX (band's choice)

Edit: Actually clean guitars are POD Farm + Recabinet, not free ampsim.

i actually do not need R3 atm as i have an axe-fx II and i am very happy with this, but i think this is a KILLER DEAL so i just bought it :D

i remembered that i bought R2 some time ago and that i had an account, i loged in and i automaticaly was redirected to the upgrade site, that's pretty awesome!

I didn't really need it either, but Shane has always been a killer guy that I like to support so I bought it (why not at that price?). Haven't installed it yet but will play with it at some time when things slow down and I know it will be awesome. NOW C'MON SHANE, BRING ON THE PLUG UPDATER!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much, guys! I've been spending almost all my time on PluginUpdate for the last few months, actually. It will go public beta in January, and I will start a new thread here when it does. For those of you that don't know, it's a free app that will help you keep your audio plugins up to date on Mac and Windows.

PS - Recabinet 3.5 will also be coming out soon. It's a free update that adds third party IR import and panning, and some minor enhancements as well.

Awesome news, out of curiosity, will the third party IRs work with the dynamics algorithm introduced in 3.1?

Yes, that's one of the reasons why it finally makes sense to do this. The sacrifice, of course, is that your presets aren't as easily portable (you'll have to bring your IRs with you in addition to your presets if you go to another studio, etc.) but the tonal versatility it opens up will be limitless.

I really want to buy Recabinet but as ive pointed out before the demo doesnt load on my vista 64 system. Does anyone have any ideas of workarounds that could make this work ?

Vista isn't tested for or supported, sorry. Some users have gotten it working in Vista, but I don't recall in which host. What DAW are you running?

Cubase 5. Alot of developers plugins work for me that arent explicitly supported in Vista. Im wondering if I didnt try both installers when I tried the demo of Recab a few months back. I dont know if C5 supported 64 bit, Im going to try both installers and see what happens. Ill post back and let you know. I really want this to work for me and make the purchase

You should be able to run Cubase 5 in either 32 or 64 bit mode, it just depends on whether you run the one in Program Files (x86) or Program Files, respectively. Also there's no problem installing the 32 and 64 bit versions of the plugin, just make sure you install them to the corresponding VstPlugins folder.
