Reccomend some sci-fi/mystery films

Yep, as the title says, i love both genres and love it when they are combined. But sadly, there aren't all that many of them.

Even if it just fits into one of the genres, hit me up.

Event Horizon, The Sphere, The Astronaut's Wife, Mission to Mars, Cube, Bioshock videogames...
Wouldn´t say I recommend them all, but it´s not my favourite genre anyway.
The original cube is very good, the sequels are crap.

+1 for Event Horizon, but it's more horror I'd say. And, I've totally been meaning to check out Cube, but... haven't yet.

I was thinking about Surrogates, iRobot, Minority Report, but... you've probably already seen them.

I've been on web stores where they have links at the bottom of the page to other items like "if you like this, then you may like this" - try it man, might come up with some hits that way.

The Andromeda Strain miniseries was pretty watchable.

I could mention the classic Metropolis here too, but I haven't yet watched that myself. It's on the list though.

Sunshine is ok, not really great IMO.

A Scanner Darkly is mindblowing. But I don´t see it too much as sci-fi, it´s still a great movie

haha fringe is soooooo f***ing aweful, one of the worst series I've ever seen,
just watched like 5 episodes just to laugh my ass off...and I've watched it in
Englisch, not the even worse German version.
X-Files or Millenium is better, and if you like some good old stuff, watch the
Twilight Zone...

About Sci-Fi movies, there are a few really good ones like the Alien series.
Not sure how to classify V for Vendetta.
Really diggin the original version of "the Timemachine" the remakes kinda suck.
I am diggin District 9, too, Contact is imho not that bad, Equilibrium, too.
And don't forget the mighty Planet of the Apes!
