Sorry I can't upload a better quality file but I don't have the masters on this computer.

Drum sounds are 100% from the kit (recorded samples and mixed in with the original performance). I usually use some 3rd party samples for snare so I was happy to get it going with just the real drum sounds.
guitars took about 7 hours for each song to track... :goggly:

let me know what you guys think!

sounds great man. i love how this mix still breathes (for lack of a better word) even on myspace. love the guitar tone and snare particularly.

i checked out your studio's page, too. killer vibe you got going there!

sorry i don't have anything negative to say at the moment. haha.

Really fucking nice mix, and all the songs on your site sound sick as fuck too. Really nice job man.

Only thing.. the guitars on all your mixes sound REALLY edited. I can understand a bit of editing here and there, especially when kick/guitar/bass locks in, but it sounds like you've edited every note and its a bit too mechanical. Personally I'd try to leave them a BIT more natural (or if you must edit them, don't go straight to the grid).

thanks guys, i actually don't really edit guitars after the fact, the reason they sound like that is because i track them like a nazi. yes sometimes one or two notes at a time... but it always depends on the players and the parts. When possible I definitely like to get more real performances, but that's rare with the average skill level around these days. but thanks, good to hear that people are picking up on that because I know I'm guilty of going over-the-top perfectionist sometimes.

Guitar tracking at jval's place is the least fun anyone will ever have ever, I promise you

"Hmm.. We gotta tune again."

"Pick that note like 1.5cm closer to the bridge."

"Okay play that chord again but this time play it in tune. Actually where's the capo?"

"Adam can you hold the strings at the nut while I hold them at the bridge and that guy over there mutes the strings on the fretboard that aren't being played?"

"Yeah I guess I'll have one more bag of Maltesers..."
