recommend me a good pitch shift for ghetto bass

could someone recommend me a good pitch shift VST for ghetto bass? I don't have a bass and it seems I'm out of money, so I have to do it the dirty way!
+I need the bass in D standard tuning. what's better playing with a 6-string guitar tuned to d and tune down on octave or with a standard tuning 7-string and tune down to d?

If you also want it for free then you will not find any good quality ones...
Doesn't C5 have any pitch shift plugins or something ?
REAPER has it... and great quality too.
7 strings will be better, because the smaller the shift the more natural it sounds.
