Recommend me external drive for new mac b pro

I have a new lap top coming 15'' Retina and I need an external drive for samples etc I am not familiar with thunderbolt tech just wondering if anyone can recommend a good drive for the job ?

OWC Mercury Elite - Perfect for audio, well-priced, and I've never had one let me down. I use the regular "Pro" version, they also have some small-form bus-powered versions that might be better if you're going to be mobile.

They also have Thunderbolt options but I haven't used them myself.
