I find the possibility of ever desiring actual depression questionable. Finding beauty and meaning in the gloomy or melancholic is something else entirely. Maybe I'm just being pedantic...

Hardly. I can't fathom why anyone would enjoy depression. It's even worse than S&M. It's a suffering of mind.

Primordial are gloomy in their song topics, but I never get as flat-out empty from them as I do from early My Dying Bride.

Depressive Age have the word "depressive" in their name, but I find that their music isn't depressing at all, at least what I have heard from them.
