Recommendations for Relatively New Metal Head

I am mostly into lyrical content over pure sounding-goodness. I mostly listen to folk and progressive metal but would like some recommendations.

Vektor's lyrics are pretty interesting in my opinion, in addition to the kick ass music. They're progressive thrash. Can't say I know anything about folk.

I recommand you The Privateer as folk ban and Dream Theater for the progressive.

I recommand you to look into the Power Metal genre. Primal Fear is a great band

I don't know if you like the Death Metal but there a quite a bunch of band who are progressive and folk also in this genre.
