Recorded and mixed a female choir! Critique?!

Yeah, I think that choir needs a little work. It's a little too forward, lower the volume or add more reverb and/or delay. Next time you should make some of them sing it a octave up and down, and perhaps add in a third and fifth as well if it fits.

Sounds pretty awesome!

Thank you sir.

i think it sounds pretty good but the bass/kick/low end should probably come up though.

Thanx, it is unmastered but i will try to fix it in the mix. My room/monitors (and my little experience of course) won't let me balance the low end as well as i would like. Would a single raise on bass/kick fix the problem, or should i add sub frequencies as well?

I do have some takes that include octaves, but they are inaudible right now i suppose. I will raise their volume, and lower the overal choir volume.

What about the rest of the mix guys?? Gtrs, vox etc.

New mix! Improved the choir balance. Changed the guitar and bass sound a bit, added a bit more ringing to the snare, and some other details. Opinions??

Nice mix. I think vocals are a bit too sibilant and as Plankis said choir is too upfront, make them sit back in the mix with some verb and less volume
