Recently I've recorded a band and I've caught myself in a little conundrum.
Lets say there is a riff that both guitar players play in unison.. There is a break, and after this break ONE guitarist remains playing this part as the other plays an accenting chug part. When I was tracking this I just figured I'd keep the same setup... 1 guitar right... 1 guitar left.
But it sounded so weak, so I had them both double track both parts.
What I really want is for the chugs to really push through and the other part sing through. I'm trying to compensate so no power is gone.. Any suggestions?
