What works better?

- Bass -> analog/digital interface -> Amp Sims like Ampeg SVX
- Bass -> amp ->(trough balanced line out) analog/digital interface -> Impulses
- Another combination with the same gear

The bass is a Spector Legend 5 custom and the amp is a Hartke HA2500

We don´t have a DI box, just a little analog/digital interface .

Also, if I wanna reamp later trough a real Ampeg, wich one is preferable.

Thanks :)

If you want to reamp, go straight to the interface. It may be worth it to shell out a few bucks for a DI, so you can capture the direct bass signal, and the amp lineout too.

How does that work?

Bass-> DI
DI -> amp -> interface -> pc
DI -> interface -> pc

thanks for the reply

The DI will give you a balanced output that goes into a mic input on your interface, and also has a link/thru output so that you can still plug into the bass amp, sending the line out to another line input in your interface.

I get it. I'll a DI box then, that way I still have the possibility of reamping later.

Thanks a bunch ;-)
