To be specific engl e860. I owned one of those a few years back but never got any too useable tones out of it. Very very trebley thing and had surprisingly little gain without a boost. You had to really dig into the strings to get it to growl, which usually I won't mind because i tend to pick hard, but this thing was very undergained. It's also possible that mine wasn't in it's prime condition.

I was mostly referring to older albums. Eg. Versus the World.

I thought they used Hughes & Kettner Triamp MkIIs for most of their career until recently?

Edit: Nevermind, seems they switched to H&K after Versus The World, and then introduced Krankenstein's alongside the Triamps before switching to all 6505s?
