Recovering a Mac hfs+ partitioned drive

Please help I just need to recover a fucked up drive: a mac HFS+ partionated drive.
I googled and found techtool pro and some other stuff.
I don't know if it's reliable at all, it seems this techtool is advertised even on the apple site.
Please guys have you got some experience with recovering tools? is it possible to fix a drive if disk utility failed?
Recovering just the files is a good option as well, but on windows always failed when happend to me, don't know on mac.

so nobody knows a tool for mac to fix hard drives? or retrieve data?
There's a shitload of stuff on the net but I don't know how good they are.

Prova quel techtool se riesci. Una volta ho recuperato un disco ntfs completamente inaccessibile, recuperando il 90% dei dati. Poi l'ho formattato e ora funziona benissimo e lo uso come secondo disco di backup. A volte i dischi impazziscono letteralmente ma poi si possono riutilizzare. Ti consiglio di provare alcuni tool che hai trovato, tanto non credo cancellino niente se falliscono il recupero

il problema è che ci mettono tantissimo a scansionare il disco allora era per questo che ho chiesto, così almeno andavo sul sicuro senza perdere ore e ore !!!

Eh io ne ho fatte anche 3-4 di scansioni lunghissime....una per controllare se trovava cose da salvare, una a vuoto perche' m'ero dimenticato di sistemare altre cose....insomma e' una rottura di palle, ma poi se va bene salvi quasi tutto.

Try using the latest version of Disk Warrior as boot up to rebuild ur drive, file structure and directories.

holy shit recovered 99,999999999999999999% of my stuff, just one little kick region was missing off a pro tools session!!!! fortunately I had a backup for that!!!
