Ok, that is very plausible. I have never heard that sound anywhere else though.

yeah i really wish i had learned this theory stuff. i can play along to a lot of opeth songs (april ethereal being one of them), but i only know what to do because i've heard the song so many times before. i'm not actively thinking "ok, time for the 3/4 section now..."

I haven't discovered April Etheral. I always found that track the most boring on the whole CD. Karma was always my favorite on MAYH. Maby I should try listening to it more.
