Way to be dismissive. Reggae may be assocated with weed, but the music comes from Jamaica. To call reggae "stoner" music is extremly ignorent of what Stoner music and Reggae is. It's not like dumb jam-rock stuff comes from Jamaica and shares cultural traits with reggae artists. Political and racial issues are delt with in reggae with a sense of social urgency, while stoner rock generally does not. You obviously don't know anything about both genres. Let alone the fact that Stoner rock sounds nothing like Reggae, so I have no idea why you would match those two genres together as if there is some trait linking them together.
Rap and Metal do not go together in a mixture that sounds good, ever. There will never be a classic, worthwhile release in that forsaken sub-genre.

There are many forms of stoner music and the "stoner" genre itself can only be isolated to idiots. I think I made my point. You fail to make good sense however you do include elements that I have not mentioned. It also emphasizes rebellion and emotional feeling... Perhaps thats the two word I forgot to put in. The two words that also describe your "Outraged Reply" can also be mentioned. Nice that you completely flip though. I am right to an extent however since most reggaie is stoner crap like acid rock. :Smug: Also lets not be confused with the COMPLETELY strange music videos that look like Overdosed acid trips or something.
Also I changed my mind on Limp Biscuit they do suck. Only like one or two songs I like by that band.

Are you claiming that every type of music releated to Marijuana and drug use is somehow releated to "stoner" music? Reggae has nothing to do with the whole jam band/stoner culture that we can easily see in America. Maybe Americans have become a tad bit stereotypical by somehow asserting that Reggae has to do with stoner culture just because Jamecan music has a history with Marijuana in their music, but let me assure you that the comparisons are not so strong. And by your claim you are saying that they are idiots simply because they are involved in stoner music. I can be pretty confiednt in saying that there has been MANY bands and artists that were influnced by drugs and yet by that statement you write all of them off. Can tell me how you classife an idiot in music?
How the fuck does Reggae sound like stoner or acid rock? Are you fucking deaf? Compare The Upsetters to Cream or Pink Floyd or High on Fire.

Reggae Metal would be terrible, but hating music because there is a weed influence is stupid.

There are a lot of reggae bands that have a shitload of talent...
Reggae and jazz mix very well... Im not saying at all that that makes reggae 'high class' music but, if done right, it's gud...

That's like a kid at a Coldplay concert saying 'I like Metallica, but all other metal is meh'
If you dont care to look past the 'mainstream' of anything you're really missing out (or just sounding ignorant).

or maybe the music just isn't my cup of tea. i've heard lots of it and its mostly been very 'meh' to me. Thus I'll leave it be.

You just don't get it do you Lol. You do realize plenty of bands as welll have done a number of rap oriented metal songs such as Anthrax Tourniquet and Machine Head. Right? Are they wiggers?

Maybe I should have been more clear in saying that the majority of bands I've heard that are weed focused/pot worship are fucking stupid and their music sucks balls. The closest Reggae has ever come to interesting for me is The Police, and they just have a mild Reggae influence.

Edit: Also... Cream is a joke band FTMP they get stoned off their minds writting their material which is why it is so uninteresting. Also the only thing barely decent Pink Floyd ever did was "The Wall". And High On Fire is doom metal and probly the only thing decent enough to listen to that has "stoner" material as you put it.
