Hello

Longtime fans of yours truly may remember that back in June 2002 I was thinking of buying a guitar. After going off the idea due to insufficient funds, I've now decided to get one again.

So that I don't waste too much money on what may be a foolish endeavour, I don't want to spend too much money on a guitar just yet - nothing below, say, $700 anyway. So, what's a good brand of guitar to get which is around that price range?

Thanks kids!

Get an Ibanez Spiffy, and make sure you get the guitar shop to set it up so the action is low and you should do fine :D

(Actually, you can probably get an Ibanez and an amp for around 700)

Where's LT when you need him? Is he still off producing babies or whatever it was he was doing?

You talkin' to me or Haupy? Cos both work for me. The picture doesn't load in my one though, but I figured you'd get the idea anyway. :)

Ahh, the picture doesnt work in mine either Spiff. But it says its got monster tone. MONSTER TONE!

Just get the one that looks the coolest, thats what everyone does :D

Jacksons are better than Ibanez and about the same in price. It's just that Ibanez make alot more budget models, Jackson hardly have any.

Jacksons are better in my opinion.

I much prefer Jacksons myself but Ibanez are pretty good instruments too... just ask Stu - he's addicted to them! HAHA!

Anything with a good double-locking Floyd style tremelo, decent pickups (humbucker in the rear position) and at least 22 frets will be fine! :)

My banjo doesn't have a humbucker, which is probably why it sounds shit. What is a humbucker anyway?

I got a $500 Ibanez on Monday...

Cheap, and has a resonably metallic tone. Unfortunately for this cheap I didn't get a tremolo... I don't care though.

Get a good amp too, don't play it through a bass amp like I do... it sounds not heavy at all...

I'll look for a picture of the bastard...

I just thought it looked cool... :D

Hey Soilworker,

completely off topic but how many people live in Mildura?
