ha ha. That was damn funny. I wonder if the poor guy ever realised?

He's probably all depressed now because no-one replied.

If my avatar, name and Signature haven't been a dead give away by now, I'll go ahead and answer anyway.
NoLordy is not religious, and is not on good terms with many Christians after near-suicide because of religion.

I guess I am spiritual in philosophical kind of way, and very interested in religion and mythology.

here's some opinions :

if the christians are right, then most christian churches are a direct trip into the fiery below.

satanism fails in providing ideals, but succeeds in analyzing society.

buddhism is a good idea, but since I don't speak sanscrit (or hindu or whatever) they could practially tell me whatever they want.

judaism is much more spiritual then christianity.

paganism is in essence like satanism, but suffers from dellusions of past societies.

religion as such has always tended to be more political than spiritual.

god is the final argument, when a faithful runs out of arguments he usually starts citing his holy book, some are even so far into it that they don't even start arguing without god, which makes religious discussions with hardcore believers kinda useless.

I do consider myself a good person.

there are two principle cores to religions, one is the meat, and the other the ghost. the meat is all the fleshly things, is what "is". while the ghost is what "should" be. one is reality, the other ideals, the question is, which is better ? indulgence or improvement?

Psychedelica are god's last message to us.

Reality is just a frozen perception of a liquid dream.

no, I'm not sorry about the long post, I am sorry about the typos that are surely in it.

I Fucked Jesus in the ass with a baseball bat & I not even GAY ! Thats what the religion has done to me
I still Believe in SANTA . If you switch a FEW LETTERS AROUND
Santa spells SATAN

THE CHURCH OF SANTA HAS BANISHED ME FOR ASKING TO MANY ?'S I'LL Still believe in Nothing

TexasFriedCriminal...! You are quite the thinker...!

Buddhism is quite an intersting topic actually, but maybe for another thread... (?)

Satanism is worse than christianity actually.

"To beleive in the existance of Satan ensures that you beleive in the existance of god..."

trapped :

it's not that simple, in essence lavey does not advocate believe in a divine being (e.g. satan) but calls the natural urges (the meat) satan, while the ideals (the ghost) is god.

or. to turn it around, while god is a symbol for those eclectic ideals (that can be seen in the commandments, or in jesus' love principle), in order to advocate the primal urges, one needs a symbol for that, and he called it satan, out of various reasons, as he explains himself.

and these ideals surely do exist, do they not?
"god" as an entity is not necessary for this argument.

a satanist who truly believes in an infernal anti-god must also accept the existence of a divine god. (as you need something to rebel against, in order to be a rebel). he is therefore a christian, in concept. or maybe more fittingly a jew, since judaism is much more focused on god, and his divinty, while christianity is basicallly a very earthbound religion. (here lavey's satanism fits in quite well as being a counterpoint.)

I notice that I didn't answer to the original topic yet, so here's my declaration of faith :

I believe in something that others might call god, I call it beauty.

...Exactly my point?

Organised religion is a sham. Any kind of organised religion is a sham.

FEAR is the keyword.

BELEIVE or go to hell. BELEIVE or be cast aside...

I beleive in thought...
The mind is a powerful thing...

This is NO pergatory.

THIS is the end of the line. There is no big divine god coming to save any-of you more than there is come to save me.

Christians have made their church so ugly, that I find it upturned. They provide me no ideals. I prefer Jesus himself, he has more to give.

There is something unfulfilled in a life that is dedicated to the "runaway" from life. They have a life (or they are after a life) without sadness or hapiness, a neutral life, empty. How can something be a good idea if it is satisfied with emptiness and rejection of joy? To me he who denies a challenge, in fear of being disappointed, is a coward.

And more fanatic as well

But I didn't see Islam in your comments.

As for my religious believes, I thing my signature says everytning, people cannot live without a "protector".

I feel energy springs from nothingness, energy manifests itself in many forms to shape life
the nothingness from with everything springs from is not intended to be approached with human logic, therefore we can just label it "nothing".

words poison truth, 'knowledge' soils the divine within

embrace the nothing, the unknown

keep in mind that the second we try to verbalize the unfathomable greater truths of existence, we automatically confine them to human-ego-materialrealm- limitations..

so it is suggested to possibly sum up the eternities into one word, the "tao"

Religion is one of those things that works for some and not for others. For some it gives them a sense of purpose or meaning in life, makes them a better person, and that's fine. So I wouldn't say all religion is bad. Like all other things, when in excess or taken to extremes it can be dangerous. I don't consider myself religious but spiritual. One thing that I don't believe though is the idea of being born-again or that people can be saved. What guarantee is there that you'll be saved anyway? I think you are responsible for your actions throughout your life, and being "re-born" doesn't suddenly make all your mistakes undone or all your sins go away or whatever. People should face the reality of their past and move on, not deny it. I see re-birth as basically sweeping past deeds under the carpet.
