enitharmon :
hm.. take the crusades for some christian fantaticism, but in todays situation you are mostly right, and I didn't include islam because I don't know a lot about it.
having been raised here in germany gave me some insights on catholic christianity, I had a burning interest in the ocult in my youth, which lead to my reading lavey, I know a bunch of wiccan who introduced me to paganism.
I also saw a sect in creation and it was one of most terrible things I ever saw.
anyway, I kinda like the big majestic architacture of christian (catholic) churches, they are often works of art.
about buddhism : that's an interesting point of view, but basically it teaches humility, like jesus did; desire creates suffering, theredore to desire nothing is to be free from suffering, that's the core message.
that's a godless image of "the ghost" imho.
Narrot :
nope, they are!
regarding the "what was before" discussion :
I believe that whatever is just is. it changes, from shape to shape, from state to state, in relation to everything else that is, but basically it just is.
one could say that it has always been and will always be, but then again this requires time, and time is matter of perception and change, and if it would not change, nor be percieved, it would still be.
so there is no "before" just like there is no "thereafter".
about energy :
I understand that energy too is merely information
